The brief
Independent restaurants routinely lose money on menu items without realising it. ChefMargin needed a web application that makes recipe costing fast and accurate: something more capable than a spreadsheet and less expensive than enterprise software targeted at large chains.
What we built
We built the platform from the ground up: ingredient database, recipe builder, real-time margin calculator, and multi-location reporting. The interface is designed to be usable by kitchen managers who are not accountants. Numbers stay front and centre, and the workflow matches how chefs actually think about food costs rather than how a finance team might.
